EXPLORING WAYS TO MAKE SOCIETY COMMUNICATE AND CJUSTICE IN 2012
empowerment through communication
CJUSTICE
Society and the criminal justice system do not work. Crime, addiction, homelessness, resetllement and debt all lead to emotional stress and fractured communities. CJustice is exploring a new way of empowering change by making people SEE JUSTICE and engage in why it so often goes wrong.
Victims, our youth, offenders and their families all need communication, support, resources and understanding, to enable individuals and society to take responsibilty and change lives, communities and institutions. They also need to understand what Justice really is.
CJustice is inspiring the creation of an interactive social transformation hub aimed at engaging all sides of society in an open forum and enabling the service providers to meet the users at a real and workable level offering; empowerment through communication.
The CJustice Strategy
CJustice has a simple strategy for empowering people. It involves understanding real communication and the exploration of what justice really is, why it's important, and how it impacts our lives.
Our unique strategy will be used to create light bulb moments and explore ways of seeing justice in the following areas:
Arts
Sport
Music
Media
Schools
Business
Forgiveness
Government
Communities
The Big Society
CJustice The Hub
Empowerment Through Communication
CJustice The Arts
Exploring seeing justice through the Arts
CJustice will develop various strategies to empower people through communication using, music, theatre, dance, film, photography, paintings and sculpture.
The Arts strategy will explore various ways to promote seeing justice using these forms of media. Few things touch the soul as much as music and visual art. The Arts that have inspired greatness for thousands of years. CJustice will tap into this and empower change.
Empowering our youth through communication. Helping them to understand the concept of responsibility and justice, whilst promoting inspiration, empowerment, stability and unity.
CJustice Youth intends to work with organisations who empower our youth through inspiration, supported skills and mentoring. We intend to promote the work of organisations such as Reflex, Venture Trust, Chance for Change, Kids Company, SOLA Spirit of London Awards, SOLA Foundation, Into University and other pro-active projects that truly engage our youth to aspire to become stable, happy and confident members of society.
CJustice Youth Ambassadors will also be set up around the UK starting in London and then being rolled out nationally. Our "see justice" youth strategy will be supported by a youth justice forum.
LEARN 2 LISTEN
The ability to Listen properly is a skill. We often think we are listening but frequently don't hear what the other person is saying. Learn 2 Listen is taking trained Listeners and teaching the skills in various workshops and enhanced skills packs.
Listening skills can help improve communication, understanding and perspective. It's vital in our everyday life and learning 2 listen can teach the users a life long skill that will enhance every aspect of their life. Family, friends, communities, work places, prisons, young offenders units including all forms of social interaction would all benefit from enhanced listening skills. Learn 2 Listen is taking the same skills used in the training of Samaritans and prison listeners. Currently these skills are available to very few people. Learn 2 Listen believe they should become standard life enhancing skills, available to all.
